Born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, Andy Sigle has been involved in the performing arts all of his life. Since the 1980’s when he played the role of Matt in Harvey Schmidt’s and Tom Jones’ THE FANTASTICKS, he has performed at various levels in on-stage and on-camera roles. He has also worked in the telecommunications industry throughout his professional career. He received both a BA (Economics) and a BS (Engineering) from the University of Illinois. He then joined AT&T for a decade of telecommunications and management experience. While at AT&T, he earned his MBA degree from The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. During the telecommunications boom of the mid-1990s, he moved to a competitive local exchange company where he was promoted to director level. From 2001 through 2006, he lived in England as an ex-pat for the company. In England and since returning to the U.S., he has continued to work in telecommunications while pursuing his interest in performance and community. His last major community theater role was as Geoffrey in Richard Harris’s STEPPING OUT. For the last several years he has been the on–camera host of the Reston Today Local News edition in Reston, Virginia. In 2011, he was elected as a Director to the 9 member Board for the 60,000 resident community of Reston. He has also had the opportunity to volunteer and perform voice-over spots for the U.S. Presidential Transition Team in 2008.
